Corrections
What dataphil has published that was wrong on the facts, what the data actually showed, and what was changed so it cannot happen the same way again. Nothing on the site is rewritten after it is filed; a correction is added beside it and logged here.

Street Calls on the site and in the 'Before the open' email
We said: “Wells Fargo upgrades WFC: bold upgrade ahead of earnings”
The data: The source headline was 'Wells Fargo gets a bold upgrade ahead of earnings'. Wells Fargo was the company being upgraded, not the firm making the call, and the call had been added to Wells Fargo's own record.
Why it happened: The extraction read the subject of the headline as the caller, and nothing checked a caller against the company being rated.
What changed: A company can no longer be recorded as the caller on its own stock. The row is removed from Street Calls and from the record.
Morning Read (Global tab)
We said: “the Fear & Greed Index remains at 71, indicating greed”
The data: The 71 is the crypto Fear & Greed index published by alternative.me. It is not a stock-market sentiment gauge and was labelled on the site as CNN's.
Why it happened: The data source was mislabelled where it is fetched and on the dashboard chip.
What changed: The chip is labelled as the crypto index, and the takes and the Morning Read no longer cite it.
Morning Read (Global tab)
We said: “10-year yields fell 0.79% to 5.269%”
The data: 5.269% was the 10-year yield's close on October 6, and the fall was October 6's move. The quote had not yet updated for October 7 when the read was written. By mid-morning on October 7 the 10-year was higher on the day.
Why it happened: Quotes carried no date, so a previous session's bar could not be told from the current one before the open.
What changed: Every quote now carries the date of its bar. A quote without a bar dated today is not stated at all.
AM take and the 'Before the open' email
We said: “U.S. futures indicate a cautious open”
The data: No futures data was loaded for this take, so the sentence had nothing behind it.
Why it happened: The prompt listed futures as a source while the data block carried only the previous day's closing index levels.
What changed: Index futures are now loaded for the AM take, and a take may mention futures only when a futures quote dated that day is in its facts.

AM take headline and the 'Before the open' email subject
We said: “Defensive sentiment builds as Asia closes mixed”
The data: Asia was not mixed. All six Asian indexes dataphil tracks that had a session closed lower: KOSPI -1.98%, Nikkei 225 -0.92%, Hang Seng -0.62%, Sensex -0.59%, ASX 200 -0.09%, TAIEX -0.03%. Shanghai had no session.
Why it happened: The headline followed the shape of an example in the style guide instead of the day's data, and nothing compared a headline's direction words with the numbers.
What changed: The examples are gone from the style guide, and a direction word in the model's text is now checked against the direction the data states.

AM take and the 'Before the open' email
We said: “Keep an eye on ★GOOGL, upgraded to Overweight”
The data: No rating changed. Wells Fargo maintained its existing Overweight rating on Alphabet on October 6.
Why it happened: The analyst feed's code for a maintained rating reached the model as 'main — Overweight → Overweight' and was read as a move to Overweight. Nothing checked rating actions.
What changed: Rating actions are now written by code, and only for a real change of rating. The model may not write one.

Street Calls
Calls that were recorded wrongly from a headline. Three rules are checked on every call: a company is never the caller on its own stock, an upgrade or downgrade must be stated by the source, and one headline is one call. A call that breaks one is corrected or removed, and the change is kept on the record.

How corrections work here
Every figure, name, time and rating action in a take is written by code from that session's data, and a language model writes only the headline and the read around them. Its words are machine-checked against those facts before anything is filed, and everything published is checked again afterwards against its sources. A take is never rewritten after it is filed. When a check or a reader finds something wrong on the facts, it is logged here with what the data showed and what was changed, and the note is printed beside the original. Not investment advice.
